Each year, the Sister Thea Bowman Black Catholic Education Foundation celebrates graduating Scholars whose lives reflect the Foundation’s mission of academic achievement, faith, leadership, and service to others. This year, we proudly congratulate three graduates whose hard work and commitment have prepared them to begin exciting new chapters while continuing to make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Jorden Clay recently graduated from Saint Vincent College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and aspires to build a career in network engineering, helping support secure and effective digital connectivity. His educational journey reflects the determination and discipline that the Foundation seeks to nurture in every scholar. Jorden hopes to use technology to create solutions that connect and support others in an increasingly digital world.

At Boston College, N’Dea Delfish earned a Bachelor of Science double degree in Marketing and African and African American Diaspora Studies. Her academic experience combined creativity, communication, and a deeper understanding of culture and identity. These are qualities that will serve her well as she begins her professional career with a marketing agency in Atlanta. N’Dea’s success reflects not only academic excellence, but also the confidence and leadership that the Foundation works to cultivate in its scholars.

Darnell Duncan graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and will continue his studies this fall by pursuing a Masters of Arts degree in Teaching while serving as a graduate assistant in Student Life at Duquesne. Darnell’s path speaks to the importance of mentorship, education, and service. These are important values that remain central to the mission of the Foundation. His desire to work with students and support their growth demonstrates a commitment to giving back and helping others succeed.

The Foundation was established to help students pursue the gift of a Catholic higher education while also growing through spiritual enrichment, mentorship, and leadership development. Jorden, N’Dea, and Darnell each embody those values in unique ways through their perseverance, compassion, and desire to serve others. We congratulate them on this important milestone and look forward to witnessing the many ways they will continue to lead and inspire in the years ahead!
